Based in Orange County, California, Carla Whitman Design is a boutique residential design firm specializing in custom home builds and full-scale renovations. With roots in both design and construction, our work is grounded in creativity, craftsmanship, and deep industry know-how.

Founders Carla and Matt Whitman, California natives, bring decades of experience to each project. Since 1991, they've built and led a successful commercial construction company—and have spent just as long designing and building homes together. Carla, the firm’s lead designer, brings a unique blend of design insight and hands-on construction expertise. She's known for her ability to translate complex challenges into beautifully livable spaces. Matt’s background in development and business ensures each project runs with intention, structure, and a shared vision.
